What is the Baby Boomer?

The Baby Boomer is a nail art technique that combines the elegance of French manicure with the subtle appeal of ombré. The result? A sophisticated, modern look that sports a natural degradé between white and pink nails, creating a soft, delicate effect. 

What are the steps to make a Baby Boomer in structure?

  1. Prepare the nail by cleaning the cuticles and matting the entire surface, then applying Nail Prep and Ultrabond which allow the manicure to last longer;
  2. Apply Bonding Base;
  3. Apply the Nail Form and through Thickso Sculpting gel white give the desired shape to the nail. This also allows you to have a white base to work from;
  4. After curing the first color, use a pink builder gel (such as Sculpting Thickso gel pink) to create the shaded effect and achieve natural nail doming;
  5. Close the nail art with Genie in a Bottle Pink e Xpress Shine Top Coat for extra durability;

    What are the secrets to doing it properly?

    The Baby Boomer technique requires some dexterity and precision. However, there are a few tricks that allow it to be done in the most correct way. 

    1. Choose the right colors: For baby boomer nail art, you will need two colors a light pink and a white. However, it is important that the shades you choose look good together.

    2. Applying the first color: If you do it in texture, apply the white builder first with a small brush, and once dry, switch to pink. If you do it with Gel Polish, it is advisable to apply the pink polish to the entire nail first;

    3. Blending with the second color: After the first color applied is dry, move on to the second color. It is very important that where they meet the shade is very natural, you can also help yourself with a sponge if you do it with Gel Polish;

    4. Don't rush: Blending should be done slowly and carefully. If you put too much product there is a risk that the result will not be as you wish;
